Business Hours and Scheduling

  • Our regular business hours are Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays and Mondays from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

    We do not charge extra fees for work booked or scheduled during the weekend. We think that weekends are great time to book services for home repairs as our guests are at home and do not need to cut from their work schedule.

    (For federal holidays our fees are X 1/2. E.g. : $100 = $150) 

  • We offer emergency services as well, with a $250 trip fee which includes the first hour on site. Additional hours will be billed at $250 per hour for after hours or $200 if emergency is during regular business hours. On emergency jobs we will do what is necessary to convert the job from an emergency to a non-emergency and then schedule the remainder of the work to occur during available business hours. You can always call us if we’re not available right away and we can help you over the phone.

  • Our cancellation policy allows you to cancel any appointment for free up to 24 hours before a visit. Cancellations made within 24 hours of a visit will be charged a $75 cancellation fee. 

  • No shows and missed appointments will be charged a $110 missed appointment fee. We propose for last minute no show to call us to potentially push or re-schedule the same day at no charge.

  • All of our jobs are scheduled with a 1 hour arrival window. 

  • Yes we can book multiple projects for the same visit. You will need to speak to the owner or precise it in the contact form to arrange scheduling and pricing for multiple items per trip.

  • All of our services are available on large or small projects. While we propose remodelling or small renovation, we may not be able to accommodate remodels due to the nature of our busy schedule. 

  • Please inquire on our website on the services page. We offer PMI’s (Preventive Maintenance Inspection list) that can be booked as well as other bookable services. 

  • Please contact the owner directly if you are interested in long-term maintenance contracts and schedules for your home. 

  • We do offer services for homeowners who cannot be present due to travel or work. Please precise this in your request. 

Licensing and Insurance

  • All tasks offered and performed are within the scope of our Handyman/Handywoman business licenses. Work requiring specialized licensing (e.g., major electrical or HVAC) may be referred to appropriately licensed subcontractors if needed. 

  • We have all appropriate business licenses to perform work in Alberta. 

  • We carry a 2 million dollar liability insurance policy. 

Rates and Billing 

  • Most jobs are billed on a per-project basis with a set fee for standard work.We charge $110 trip fee that cover’s the first hour. Then $90/hour for tasks that do not involve specialized trades. Highly skilled services such as plumbing, electrical, and others are billed at different appropriate rates. Larger projects are quoted and approved before work begins on a job by job basis. 

  • We do not require a deposit at the moment. We are working on deposits for bookings through our booking system. Stay put.

  • We offer in person or remote estimates. 

  • We do not offer hourly rates for skilled labor. We do offer an hourly rate of $90 per hour for unskilled labor only. Unskilled labor would include non-specialized trades such as basic demolition, hauling, clean up, assembly etc. 

  • We charge $110 for in person estimates with no other approved work at the property. With approved work at the property that we can invoice for, we will provide free estimates for work beyond the original scope of work. We also provide free estimates (which may change once on site) through our “Request an Estimate” form on our website if enough pictures and videos can be provided to give an estimate without visiting the property. 

  • Send us your request and we’ll see what we can do.

  • Any changes to the scope of work or additions to the scope of work that are requested or that become necessary on site will be evaluated and priced on a case by case basis. If additional work is necessary or if the scope of work changes we may have to schedule the changes or additions out to a future trip. 

  • Payment is due upon completion of work before our technician leaves the property.

    We propose online payment up to 3 days with a credit card fee at 2.99%. 

  • Accepted Methods: Credit card, debit card, Interact transfer, check, or cash. Other methods may be accommodated by prior arrangement. 

  • We do provide receipts for your records. 

  • Our labor and materials costs are broken down on invoices in an industry standard format. We do not break them down further without having agreed to something specific in advance. 

  • We provide all documentation of your job digitally. 

  • We do not charge for troubleshooting if we do not diagnose the issue, however we do charge for troubleshooting if we diagnose a problem that you choose to not have us repair at our pricing or if it requires a Trades Licensed Business.

Materials and Warranty

  • We offer a 3 month parts and labor warranty on all work. 

  • Yes you can provide your own materials, however, we do not offer materials warranties on materials that we did not provide. 

  • Any unused or leftover materials that we supply remain our property. We often purchase additional materials to account for waste or unforeseen issues to avoid project delays. 

  • No additional free return trips or touch-ups are included once the job is completed.

  • If you are dissatisfied with the work performed, please contact Robin Colas (Owner) directly to discuss remediation options on a case-by-case basis. 

  • We do not do any across the board markup on materials, however, our materials are priced to account for procurement and handling.
